Toronto, June 28, 2021 – On July 1st, Stingray pays homage to amazing homegrown talent by counting down the Top 100 Canadian Songs of All-Time. This year’s all-day event is hosted by Stu Jeffries and special guests Mike Reno and Paul Dean of Loverboy!
Starting at 10 am on Canada Day, and running for 10 straight hours, Stu, Mike and Paul will not only count down the biggest songs in Canadian music history, but they’ll also share some great stories about life on the road, the fans, and the artists they toured with in their 40 years of being one of the most successful rock bands in Canada.
In the Summer of 1981, Loverboy played a cross Canada tour before embarking on their first US tour. Their debut album had produced such hits as “Turn Me Loose” and “The Kid is Hot Tonight”, and their popularity would explode that fall with the release of Get Lucky and the massive hit “Working For The Weekend”.
Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of “The Summer of Loverboy” and mark Canada’s 154th birthday in the most Canadian way possible, with Stu Jeffries and Loverboy’s Mike Reno and Paul Dean.
The Top 100 Canadian Songs of All time will be heard on all Stingray Classic Hits and Rock stations including:
