Stingray Radio Achieves Impressive Audience Growth in Summer 2025 Numeris Ratings

The data reveals a positive trend for radio listenership nationwide and showcases the exceptional performance of Stingray stations in key markets.

Overall, English commercial radio in the metered markets saw a 3.2% year-over-year increase in average weekly listeners aged 25-54, growing to almost 5.5 million. The sector also saw substantial growth in key demographics, including a 6.5% increase in female listeners aged 25-54 and a 7.3% increase in listeners aged 18-34.

  • TORONTO CTRL: 
    • boom 97.3 stands out as a true powerhouse this Summer 2025, with over 30K Canadians 18+ listening in an average minute making it the most-listened-to English commercial radio station in the country, with over 1.7M Canadians 18+ tuning in an average week.  
    • New Country 93.5, launched in Fall 2024, demonstrated impressive growth, with a 12.6% increase in listeners aged 25-54 and a 10.3% increase with A 18-34 listeners from Spring to Summer 2025. 
  • VANCOUVER CTRL: 
    • The Vancouver commercial station market experienced strong year-over-year growth, with listenership up 12.5% among adults 25-54 and 13.9% among adults 18-34. 
    • Z95.3 increased its average weekly listenership with A 25-54 by 4.8% and by 15% with F 25-54 year-over-year. 
    • 104.3 The Breeze saw its F 25-54 audience grow by 18.2% year-over-year. 
  • CALGARY CTRL: 
    • XL103 delivered tremendous increases, with its A25-54 audience growing 14.4% year-over-year and a remarkable 23% from Spring to Summer 2025. 
    • 90.3 AMP Radio’s A 25-54 average minute audience grew 14.5% year over year. 
  • EDMONTON CTRL: 
    • K97 grew its listenership substantially from Spring to Summer 2025, with an 11.9% increase among adults 35-64. 
    • 96.3 The Breeze saw a 22.6% increase in its A18-34 audience from Spring to Summer, while its F 25-54 listenership grew by 4.6%
