Stingray Business Partners with BMO to Launch Immersive Soccer Fan Activation

Stingray Business designs, engineers, and deploys high-impact digital and physical experiences in Toronto and Vancouver, including a monumental 15-metre rooftop installation and custom interactive soccer games.
Montreal, June 22, 2026 – Stingray (TSX: RAY), the world’s leading connected streaming media company, today announced that its commercial division, Stingray Business, has partnered with BMO to deliver a series of high-impact physical and digital fan activations celebrating the global soccer tournament.
Running from June 11 to July 19, 2026, the city-spanning campaign transforms key landmarks in Toronto and Vancouver into interactive, fan-first celebration hubs. As BMO’s primary technology partner, Stingray Business is responsible for the complete end-to-end execution of these activations—spanning custom interactive software development, structural engineering, on-site deployment, and ongoing technical support.
Key Activations:
- The Giant Rooftop Inflatable (Toronto): Stingray Business engineered a monumental, custom-branded inflatable soccer ball, 15 metres in diameter, located atop the First Canadian Place BMO branch, that serves as a major visual landmark in Toronto’s Financial District. The temporary structure features redundant blower systems, programmable RGB lighting, remote monitoring, and was secured using 36 support ballasts following rigorous structural reviews and municipal permitting.
- The BMO Goalie Challenge (Toronto & Vancouver): Live at the Harbourfront Community Square (Canada Soccer House) in Toronto and Canada House in Vancouver, this custom-designed interactive “Digital Goal Challenge” invites fans to test their skills against a virtual goalie. Stingray Business developed the proprietary gaming software and built the physical footprint, which features a large-scale 3 m x 2.5 m LED wall, integrated tracking sensors, cameras, a branded canopy, and a physical net surround.
“We are thrilled to partner with BMO to bring the electrifying energy of this global soccer event to Canadian fans in such a tangible, interactive way,” said Renaud Lafrance, Chief Revenue Officer of Stingray Business. “This project perfectly showcases Stingray Business’ ability to merge large-scale physical engineering with cutting-edge interactive software. By turning high-traffic urban spaces into immersive brand experiences, we are helping BMO connect with soccer fans on a deeper level during this historic sporting moment.”
“Soccer has an incredible ability to bring people together, and BMO is proud to help create memorable moments that celebrate that shared passion with fans and celebrate the Canadian Men’s National team during a pivotal moment in the sport,” said Catherine Roche, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, BMO. “Through these immersive activations, we’re transforming everyday spaces into places where communities can connect, play and experience the excitement of the game in a uniquely Canadian way. Stingray Business has been an important partner in helping bring this vision to life with creativity, scale and impact.”
This collaboration highlights Stingray Business’ ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, large-scale technological solutions. By seamlessly integrating physical structures with digital interactivity, Stingray continues to redefine how brands engage with their audiences in public spaces and solidifies its position as a leader in designing tailored sensory experiences.
