January 15, 2021 – Stingray Radio is proud to announce the launch of the Q Network, bringing the best radio stations in the Maritimes together under one legendary rock brand. Starting Monday, January 18, 2021, Stingray’s four rock radio stations in Halifax, Moncton, Pictou County, and Saint John, will offers listeners across the Maritimes the very best local and regional programming under the heritage Q brand.
Each station is anchored by BJ & The Q Morning Crew, the most-listened-to morning show in the region, hosted by BJ Wilson, Bobby Mac, and Allie MacKinnon. The day is bookended by the popular regional evening show Rock of the Atlantic with Adam Marriott, which has been on the air at all stations since 2018. Throughout each day, local personalities in each community ensure that the Q stations remain firmly rooted in their hometowns, with no personality changes at any of the stations.
The Q Network consists of:
Q-104 Halifax, NS (CFRQ-FM)
Q-103 Moncton, NB (CJMO-FM)
Q-88.9 Saint John, NB (CHNI-FM)
Q-97.9 Pictou County, NS (CKEZ-FM)
The launch of the Q Network puts a fresh coat of paint on legendary radio stations, with no changes to what listeners know and love about the stations.
In Moncton, Q-103 represents the evolution of Moncton’s rock station, which launched in 1987 as “Rock 103” before rebranding to “C-103”. Brock Gallant and Mandy MacDonald remain hosting daytime shows on Q-103.
In Pictou County, Alex Theriault and Scott George continue to anchor locally as the station, which launched in September of 2014.
Halifax and Saint John were already proudly waving the Q banner, and there are no personality or music changes at either station.
