THE STINGRAY MUSIC MOBILE APP NOW WORKS WITH CHROMECAST AND CHROMECAST AUDIO
Stingray Music mobile app users can now cast their favorite Stingray Music channels to their TV with Chromecast, a media streaming device that plugs into the television’s HDMI port, or to their home speakers with Chromecast Audio; all over WiFi.
Once set up, users can simply use their iPhone®, iPad®, Android phone and tablet, Mac® and Windows® laptop, or Chromebook to cast their music.
With this Chromecast integration, Stingray expands the user experience and delivers yet another way for users to enjoy exciting content on their home entertainment systems.
2,000 STINGRAY MUSIC VIBES CHANNELS NOW AVAILABLE ON SONOS
Following the July launch of the Stingray Music streaming service on Sonos, the smart speaker system that uses your WiFi to stream the music you love throughout your home, 2,000 Vibes channels have been added to the channel offering in selected markets.
Vibes channels are programmed by 100 of the top music programmers from around the globe, and offer crowd-pleasing and niche content in over 100 genres selected to suit all tastes. Each Vibes channel features a minimum of 150 tracks (up to 2000), streams an average of 10 to 12 hours of music, and offers the best possible listening experience for all situations; whether you need energetic pop songs to motivate a workout, elegant jazz tracks to entertain friends or a chill indie mix to relax on a weekend morning.
THE STINGRAY MUSIC MOBILE APP AVAILABLE ON TABLET DEVICES
The popular Stingray Music mobile app is now available on iPad and Android tablet devices.
The tablet app, which was developed entirely in-house by Stingray’s engineering team, takes advantage of the increased screen size to improve the user experience and optimize navigation, including a player with larger cover art for every track and simplified social sharing.
The Stingray Music mobile app, which was launch in October 2014 and already counts close to 1 million users, is offered free to subscribers who have access to Stingray Music’s vast selection of channels in every popular genre through their Pay-TV providers. No wonder users spend an average of five hours a week listening to their favourite tracks and artists!
